SYCAMORE LANE ADDITION

Fall 2020
A client with a modest ranch home on a double lot desired an expansion containing a garage, bedroom, utility room and generous kitchen space with views to the existing swimming pool. A mid-century modern inspired roofline draws attention to a welcoming new entrance. Preliminary design options were conducted by Brian Morgan Architects. Construction is expected to be complete in mid-late 2021.
MODERN SHOP ADDITION

Fall 2020
This client desired a preliminary design for an addition to an existing building. The clerestory windows are intended to capture southern sun and bring natural daylight to the northern spaces. On the exterior, a variety of materials add texture while steel trellis supports are playfully highlighted in blue.
DETACHED GARAGE / OFFICE

Summer 2020
Monarch completed design work initiated by Brian Morgan Architects on a small detached garage outside of Jefferson City, MO. A second floor space connects to a balcony overlooking the nearby valley. Exterior design and materials were of particular concern to the client to complement his existing hipped roof and brick home.
SCHEMATIC SUBURBAN RESIDENCE

Fall 2020
In a collaboration with Brian Morgan Architects, Monarch Architecture completed preliminary design options and renderings for a home to be constructed in a new suburban development on Columbia's south side. Client priorities included unique features like an octagonal study and spacious back porch.
